Our Co-Stars!

This blog is about Goosey and Puddin'.

You've figured this out by now.

BUT you should meet the other fabulous characters in our immediate lives!

INTRODUCING:

Bear:
Puddin's furry Italian husband.
He's a great dad, a hard worker, loves sports, music, and anything Disney.
He's loud and passionate and is just her perfect companion.

DaVinci:
The artist.
10 years of age, a life's worth of hair,
sensitive, creative, and adventurous.
Just starting to show signs of teenage-boyness.

Slim:
The athlete.
8 years old, has a 6-pack,
has not stopped moving
since his mom stopped wrapping him up like a burrito.

Deedle:
The engineer.
5 years old. Cute as anything.
Figures out how to do things by himself,
whether it's making his own cinnamon toast
or picking the lock to his room with his nightlight.
(True story!)

Papaya:
The princess.
3 years old, and ALL girl.
Sparkly, twirly, mischievous, darling.
Loves dancing, Moana, Frozen, and driving Deedle up the wall.

Watson:
Goosey's cat.
14 lbs of lean, mean, purring cuddle machine.
Prefers green toys, and thinks bugs are cute.

That's all, folks!

Nan's Cans (Contest!)

You guys don't even understand.

Our Nan is the cutest sweetest most perfect little old
(slightly nutty)
Grandma lady you will ever meet.

She cooks. She bakes. She memorizes poetry.
She visits all the other little old ladies who are older than she is and serves them.

She is tiny, with bright eyes, strong hands, and that perfectly white fluffy Grandma hair.
Her voice is sweet and soothing, and slides up unevenly to every note
of the hymns she sings as she does her housework.

She's polite and proper and thoughtful, and then,
when you are young and talking with your sister and shut up quick when Nan comes in
because you were laughing about flatulence,
she looks out to the horizon and calmly recites:

Wherever you go, wherever you be,
Be sure to let the wind blow free!
And when you visit her, she never lets you go home empty-handed.
Several years ago she'd sent me home with some questionable canned food:

Love you, Nan, forever and always!

Taking the Plunge!

Sisters do as sisters should--

-- and these sisters are starting a blog!

And you are here! Reading the very first post!
YOU ARE SO LUCKY!!
;)

Okay but seriously. We are GoosePuddin'.

One of us is Goosey, one of us is Puddin'.
These were our childhood nicknames.

One of us is older, one is younger.
Which, short of spontaneous synchronized ejection is probably always the case with sisters.

There are six years between us.
One of us is year of the Tiger,
and one is year of the Monkey.
According to the Chinese Zodiac,
that means that we shouldn't get along,
but we make it work.

One of us is extroverted, one is introverted (or possibly ambiverted with social anxiety issues).

One of us has four healthy crazy kids, and the other has a broken uterus and a cat.

One of us has two college degrees, the other one thinks farts are funny.

Both of us love cooking, and music, and movies--
-- and each other. <3

SO WHAT IS THE BLOG ABOUT ANYWAY?

We don't really know! All of the above! Plus more!

We just want to make you laugh.
We want to bring you joy.
We want to share our experiences so that you can learn the easy way what we've learned the hard way.

Such as how to plunge a toilet:

SO -- comment down there, or email us HERE and introduce yourselves, ask us questions, and let us know what you are interested in, and we'll see you in the next post!

Arrivederci!

(Pronounced "Arrive-derky" -Puddin)
